About this Stone
One of the most dramatic viewpoints in the Dachstein region, this spot places you on five narrow platforms extending over a sheer cliff at approximately 2,000 meters above sea level. The vistas plunge hundreds of meters straight down into the valley, opening across alpine lakes and peaks in all directions. Each “finger” platform offers a different angle of the surrounding mountains, making it one of the most photographed viewpoints in the Alps. The glass floor section adds an extra thrill—a chance to look directly into the depth below with nothing but transparent floor between you and the void. The combination of exposure, altitude, and 360-degree alpine scenery creates an unforgettable experience for anyone drawn to high-altitude viewpoints.
