About this Stone
This small public garden in the city center was created in the 1860s and dedicated to Camillo Benso di Cavour, former Prime Minister and a pivotal figure in Italy’s unification. A bust monument honors the Piedmontese statesman, while a more recent addition celebrates the late songwriter Lucio Dalla, whose statue now graces the space. The garden offers park benches, a small bird pond, and green areas that make it an inviting spot to rest and escape the heat on a summer day. It’s the kind of place where locals pause between errands and visitors discover layers of Italian history and culture woven into an unpretentious corner of the city.
