About this Stone
The first glimpse of Lake Bled from this elevated vantage point often surprises visitors—the perspective is so perfectly framed it looks like drone footage. Three forested hills rise above the western shore of the lake in the Julian Alps, each offering sweeping views across the water to Bled Island and the medieval clifftop castle beyond. A single trail connects all three summits, making for an excellent progression: start at the lower viewpoint, continue to the middle height where a bench with a heart marks a peaceful rest spot, then finish at the highest outlook. The hike is short and rewarding, taking roughly 30 minutes from the lake’s southwestern shore to reach these scenic perches.
