About this Stone
We continued our waddle around the stunning Vorderer Gosausee and tucked another penguin stone into a tree trunk along the lakeside trail. Every turn revealed another postcard-perfect view of the Dachstein massif, making it impossible not to stop and admire the scenery. The circular walk around the lake is approximately 4.5 kilometres long and usually takes about 1.5 hours, while the lake itself reaches depths of around 82 metres. It’s the perfect place to slow down, enjoy nature, and maybe even discover a hidden penguin stone.
