About this Stone
This regional park protects an exceptional system of limestone caves within a vast, gently rolling karst landscape. The underground world here is genuinely spectacular—collapsed dolines, roughly 6 kilometers of passages descending over 200 meters, dramatic waterfalls, and one of the largest known subterranean chambers. The caves earned their UNESCO World Heritage designation deservedly. Once you emerge from the cave system, three marked routes beckon. The longest path is worth choosing: it takes you through an additional cave, down into a deep valley, and through a lush green forest. The journey combines geological drama with the quiet beauty of the surrounding landscape. The stone here sits at a cave exit, tucked behind another stone and requiring you to crouch to spot it.
