#1383 Lednice Minaret

📍 Lednice Minaret, Lednice, Czechia

About this Stone

We waddle all the way through Lednice Castle Gardens until we reach the Lednice Minaret, standing around 60 metres (197 ft) tall at the end of the park. Built between 1797 and 1801 for Prince Alois I of Liechtenstein, it has 302 steps leading to the top and is one of the most unusual landmarks in the Lednice–Valtice area. But this stop is extra special for us. Near the Minaret, tucked beside a tree trunk, we hide a penguin stone from our special edition and not just any stone. This is penguin stone #1000, officially marking the first big milestone of our Penguin Stones project. From the first stone to four digits, this little penguin definitely deserves a special hiding spot. 🐧🎉
