About this Stone
Originally a gravel pit, this lake in the Ružinov district has been transformed into a vibrant urban oasis that draws both locals and visitors year-round. The area pulses with recreational energy—swimming and fishing are popular activities, and scenic walking paths wind through lush greenery. Sports facilities and cafes dot the surroundings, making it equally suited for active pursuits or peaceful relaxation. What makes this place particularly special is how nature has reclaimed it. Despite its artificial origins, a thriving ecosystem has flourished here, with various bird species and aquatic life establishing themselves and turning the lake into a vital urban nature reserve. The stone was hidden in one of the trees, nestled inside its trunk, where it settled deeper than intended—but that only adds to the adventure of finding it.
