About this Stone
This April I went to Paris. I already went there several times, so I got the chance to visit the city more thoroughly. The cemetery Père Lachaise is one of my favorite places. It’s quiet, peaceful, and big enough for a walk to explore several times. It will never bore me. Cemeteries are important for me to visit, because it always reminds me that my life is vulnerable and precious at the same time. It motivates me to move on, no matter how hard it sometimes can be.
There are a lot of famous people resting at Père Lachaise. During my first visit, I went to the graves of Frederic Chopin and Jim Morrison. For my last trip I went to the grave of Antoine Parmentier. In short, that guy taught France to eat potatoes to prevent malnutrition. Can you imagine a world without potatoes? So for that reason, I went to his grave and I also left a penguin stone there! I was surprised that there was a no penguin stone yet in Paris.
