About this Stone
This hill rises to 587 meters above sea level and offers stunning views over the surrounding landscape. It is part of the Tribeč mountain range and a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers. The area is rich in history, with the ruins of a monastery—one of Slovakia’s oldest—dating back to the 9th century. It was also once home to a sanatorium in the early 20th century, where patients with respiratory diseases were treated using fresh mountain air and heliotherapy, or sunlight treatment.
