About this Stone
This quiet, hidden spot within the estate is tucked away in a park surrounded by trees and walking paths. Once the burial place for the Buchanan family, who owned the estate, the area retains a stone archway marking the old entrance. Beyond the family tombs, ancient Bronze Age burials were discovered here, layering centuries of history into the landscape. Today it’s a peaceful place for a stroll, offering a slightly eerie charm and a genuine window into the area’s deep past.
