About this Stone
Situated at the northeastern tip of La Concha Bay, this striking example of 1920s rationalist architecture was designed to resemble a moored ship. Opened in 1929 by architects José Manuel Aizpúrua and Joaquín Labayen, the three-story white concrete façade with long horizontal windows offers sweeping views over the bay and city. Beyond its architectural significance, the venue is an active center for nautical sports including sailing, canoeing, and diving, and features a chic terrace restaurant where visitors can take in the panoramic setting.
