About this Stone
This glacial lake in the High Tatras is a quiet alpine jewel, covering roughly 20 hectares with a depth of about 20 meters—making it one of the larger and deeper glacial lakes in the range. The landscape here tells the story of Ice Age geology, carved by ancient glaciers into a serene mountain basin. It’s the kind of place where time moves differently, where hikers find themselves lingering longer than planned, drawn in by the crisp mountain air and the reflective waters. Several penguin stones have already found their way into this area over time, quietly blending with the rocky terrain and adding layers of adventure to the High Tatras experience.
