About this Stone
This sprawling 5 km² landscape park contains a beloved playground that has entertained generations of children for nearly 80 years. The modern renovation completed in 2022 brought fresh equipment, accessibility features, and shaded seating while honoring the playground’s character—the green carousel remains, and a charming wooden play structure with two little houses connected by a bridge still crowns the central hill. The area’s history runs deep: during the 1940s, it hosted a “Paradiso dei bambini” children’s playground by the pond, officially inaugurated in July 1943. Today it’s a vibrant gathering place where families come to play, explore, and create memories among mature trees and open green spaces.
