About this Stone
Mariina skála is one of the most iconic viewpoints in Bohemian Switzerland National Park. Sitting atop a 428-meter sandstone cliff, it features a historic wooden gazebo built in 1856 that offers sweeping views over the deep forests, sandstone formations, and the village of Jetřichovice below. It is one of the park’s classic hikes and a favorite stop for visitors exploring the region. Of course, there is also a penguin stone hiding here! As you climb toward the summit, keep an eye on the first set of iron stairs. The penguin is tucked behind the railing, waiting for sharp-eyed explorers before you continue to one of the best viewpoints in Bohemian Switzerland.
