About this Stone
The hike toward the Kallur Lighthouse is one of the most iconic walks you can take on the islands. Starting from the small village, the trail leads across open grassy ridges with sweeping views of the sea and surrounding cliffs, often with puffins darting above. The path is not marked, but it is well-trodden, taking around 45–60 minutes each way, depending on the weather. It’s not a challenging hike, but the cliffs are steep and require caution, especially on windy days. A penguin stone has been hidden inside a rock along the way, waiting to surprise whoever stumbles upon it during their walk to this breathtaking lighthouse.
