About this Stone
The Buddha statue viewpoint here is one of the best spots to take in this temple’s dramatic setting, perched on rugged coastal rocks with waves crashing below. This stone terrace sits above the complex, giving a full panoramic view of the pagodas, bridges, and seaside shrines. The temple is one of the few Buddhist temples in Korea built directly along the coast; most are tucked deep in the mountains, making this spot especially unique. The area offers stunning vistas of one of the region’s most iconic sacred sites, where tradition meets the sea.
