About this Stone
This riverside promenade stretches along the Salzach with postcard views of the Old Town, the fortress, and the surrounding hills. It’s especially beautiful at sunrise, when the soft light hits the pastel buildings across the water. The walk follows part of an old medieval towpath once used by merchants who transported goods along the river. Today it’s a favourite spot for locals heading out for a stroll, jog, or quiet moment by the water.
