About this Stone
Gombasek sits on the edge of the Slovak Karst National Park and is best known for Gombasecká Cave, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cave is famous for its long, thin straw stalactites, some reaching up to three meters in length. It also serves as a speleotherapy cave, where people visit for the cave’s stable air conditions. Around Gombasek, you’ll find hiking trails, forests, and more karst formations, making it a good stop if you’re exploring this part of Slovakia. A penguin stone is hidden here! Keep an eye out while you explore; you might spot one of our hidden penguin stones and help it continue its journey.
