About this Stone
This bridge along the stream is one of the most charming spots in central Seoul, blending calm waters with layers of history. Dating back to the Joseon Dynasty, it was once part of the main road leading toward Gwanghwamun, making it an important landmark for centuries. Today, it’s a peaceful place to pause, watch the flowing stream, and take in the soft glow of the lanterns that often decorate the area. When the stream was restored in the early 2000s, parts of the original bridge stones were discovered and carefully preserved, giving the site an authentic connection to its past.
