About this Stone
This spot sits at the edge of the old Venetian walls, transforming what was once a traffic scar into a calm, modern green space. Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, it flows across layered concrete paths and pedestrian bridges that echo the lines of the historic moat below, subtly stitching the old city with the newer districts. From certain angles, you can still trace the star-shaped fortifications beneath the sleek curves, a quiet reminder of centuries of history beneath your feet. A beautiful, small gazebo covered in roses marks the hiding place among the paths and viewpoints.
