About this Stone
The Bell Tower rises above the quiet waterfront as one of the town’s most recognizable landmarks, originally built in the 18th century as part of the Church of St. Nicholas complex. Standing at the top gives you sweeping views over the Bay of Kotor and the small stone houses that line the shore. The tower itself reflects a long maritime history, when the town was an important naval center under Venetian influence.
