About this Stone
This quiet green corner tucked along the hillside is one of those peaceful local hideaways that many visitors overlook while rushing between the upper and lower towns. It offers beautiful views over the lower town and, on clear days, even toward the distant plains of Lombardy. The area once formed part of the historic defensive belt surrounding the upper city, and fragments of old walls and pathways still shape the park’s layout today. It feels less like a formal garden and more like a place where residents come to read, walk their dogs, or pause in the shade of tall trees—a serene escape from the busier parts of the city.
