#969 Rocks Underneath Statue

📍 Rocks Underneath Statue, Makarska, Croatia

About this Stone

The monument to St. Peter in Makarska is a 3.6-meter-high bronze statue created by sculptor Tomislav Kršnjavi and unveiled in 2009. St. Peter is holding the key to the Kingdom of Heaven, which is his traditional symbol. The statue stands at the end of the St. Peter peninsula and faces the Makarska harbor, symbolically protecting the city. Below the statue, there is a chain where couples attach padlocks as a symbol of eternal love. 📍 The stone is hidden next to the memorial plaque, on the left side.
