This peak in the Little Carpathians is the fourth-highest in the range, reaching 751.8 meters, and offers a more secluded hiking experience than busier trails nearby. The wooded summit lacks expansive views, but what it lacks in panorama it makes up for in atmosphere—the place is known for dark, unusual rock formations that create a genuinely mysterious character. Two dark rocks resembling a gateway mark the approach to the peak, while the summit itself holds curious remnants: a stone block with a carved year, remains of an iron pole, a small stone trough, and a stone fireplace. The area's history runs deep. Logging operations once shaped these forests heavily, and traces of past mining—gold, antimony, and pyrite extraction—can still be spotted among the trees, adding a compelling historical layer to the natural landscape. It's the kind of place where geology, human enterprise, and legend seem to intersect.
