Tento prastarý olivovník, pokrútený strážca cyperskej histórie, tu stojí ako živý archív – jeho kmeň po stáročia formovalo slnko, čas a nespočetné zbery úrody. Takéto olivovníky dokážu žiť stovky, niekedy dokonca tisíce rokov, pričom sa neustále obnovujú z tých istých koreňov, a ich dlhovekosť je hlbokým symbolom odolnosti a kontinuity. Keď pri ňom stojíš, nemáš ani tak pocit, že si pred stromom, ale skôr že stretávaš svedka minulých generácií, ktorý stále rodí olivy dlho po tom, čo ľudia, ktorí ho zasadili, odišli. Kameň bol umiestnený hlboko do dutiny v kmeni po nečakanom stretnutí s pomerne slizkým obyvateľom počas pôvodného hľadania. Tučniak odvtedy vkĺzol hlboko do temnoty vnútra stromu a skutočne splynul s prastarým drevom – je neviditeľný dokonca aj vo svetle baterky, akoby si ho samotný olivovník privlastnil ako súčasť svojho nekonečného príbehu.

Olive trees like this can live for hundreds, sometimes even thousands of years, continuously regenerating from the same roots, their longevity a profound symbol of resilience and continuity. Standing beside it feels less like encountering a tree and more like meeting a witness to generations past, still producing olives long after the people who planted it have gone. The stone was placed deep within a hollow in the trunk after an unexpected encounter with a rather slimy inhabitant during the initial search. The penguin has since slipped far into the darkness of the tree's interior, becoming truly one with the ancient wood—invisible even to torchlight, as if the olive tree itself has claimed it as part of its endless story.
