Tento veľkolepý vstup do horného mesta postavili koncom 16. storočia ako súčasť mohutných Benátskych hradieb, ktoré dodnes obopínajú historické jadro. This grand entrance to the upper town was built in the late 16th century as part of the mighty Venetian Walls that still encircle the historic core.
