One of Skopje's most iconic landmarks, this historic bridge spans the Vardar River and dates back to the 15th-century Ottoman period. It has long served as the main connection between the old and new parts of the city, surviving earthquakes and centuries of transformation. Walking across its stone arches offers contrasting views: the bustling Old Bazaar on one side and the modern cityscape on the other. The structure stands as a symbol of continuity and resilience, a place where centuries of history meet in a single crossing.
