About this Stone
As we explore Lupča Castle, we also come across a statue of Matej Bel, the famous Slovak scholar, historian and polymath. Bel spent part of his childhood in Slovenská Ľupča, making the statue a fitting tribute to one of the region’s most notable historical figures. And, of course, we cannot resist looking around for another perfect hiding spot. Just nearby, we find a little nook that looks ideal for another penguin stone to find a new home.
