#1162 St. Wolfgang Church
St. Wolfgang Church, St. Wolfgang im Salzkammergut, 🇦🇹 Austria
About this Stone
We took a relaxing waddle through the beautiful town of St. Wolfgang, wandering its charming streets lined with colourful historic buildings before reaching the town’s iconic church. St. Wolfgang Church has stood here for more than 600 years and is famous for its magnificent Gothic winged altar, created by the renowned artist Michael Pacher in the 15th century. Before continuing our adventure, we hid a penguin stone in a stone wall beside the church, leaving a little surprise in one of Austria’s most picturesque lakeside villages.
