About this stone

Matka Canyon stretches across a dramatic landscape carved by the Treska River, its steep limestone cliffs rising over 1,000 meters above the water and creating an otherworldly setting. The canyon encompasses more than 5,000 hectares of protected natural terrain, renowned for its ecological richness: dozens of caves honeycomb the rock faces, rare plant species cling to impossible slopes, and diverse wildlife makes this one of the most significant natural areas in the region. The emerald water reflects the towering walls, and the quiet sections along the trail offer perfect spots for contemplation and discovery.
