#258 Perito Moreno Glacier

Perito Moreno Glacier, El Chaltén, 🇦🇷 Argentina

About this Stone

This is one of the most jaw-dropping natural wonders in the world, and one of the few glaciers still advancing rather than shrinking. Stretching about 30 kilometers long and rising to 70 meters above the lake, it is famous for its dramatic ice calving, when massive chunks of blue ice crack, thunder, and collapse into the water below. The sound alone is unforgettable. A penguin stone now rests here, a tiny piece of the global penguin adventure quietly linking this frozen giant to the growing trail of hidden stones around the world.
