About this Stone

Zelené pleso is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the High Tatras. It is located at an altitude of about 1,551 metres. The lake has a beautiful green colour, which is where its name comes from. There is a mountain hut called Chata pri Zelenom plese next to the lake. From the lake, you can also see several impressive mountain peaks, including Jahňací štít.
