Nature showcases one of its most spectacular wonders here: over 40,000 interlocking basalt columns formed by volcanic activity approximately 60 million years ago. Legend, however, attributes a more mythical origin to the formation—the Irish giant Fionn mac Cumhaill supposedly built the causeway to cross the sea and confront his Scottish rival, Benandonner. Whether you believe in geology or giants, this is a place where history, myth, and raw beauty collide. A penguin stone has been hidden among the regular beach stones, a small reminder that even in the land of giants, penguins find a way to leave their mark.
