Táto starodávna sopka sa majestátne týči nad mestom. Naposledy vybuchla približne pred 350 miliónmi rokov a dnes tvorí srdce divokého a drsného parku len kúsok od Royal Mile. Miesto vo výške 251 metrov ponúka dychberúce výhľady na celé mesto aj ďaleké okolie. Napriek svojmu dramatickému názvu nemá žiadne jasné spojenie s kráľom Artušom, hoci legendy toto miesto často spájajú s jeho mýtickým dvorom. Svahy ukrývajú pozostatky pevnosti z doby železnej, ktoré naznačujú dlhú a tajomnú minulosť siahajúcu stáročia do histórie. Na jar a v lete pokrývajú svahy pestré poľné kvety, ktoré dodávajú dramatickej škótskej scenérii záplavu farieb. This ancient volcano rises majestically above the city, last erupting around 350 million years ago, and now forms the heart of a wild and rugged park just a short walk from the Royal Mile. Standing at 251 meters high, the spot commands breathtaking views across the city and beyond. Despite its dramatic name, there is no clear connection to King Arthur, though legends often link the site to his mythical court. The slopes hide remnants of an Iron Age fort, hinting at a long and mysterious past stretching back centuries. In spring and summer, vibrant wildflowers blanket the slopes, adding bursts of color to the dramatic Scottish scenery. The climb is steep and not an easy ascent, but the panoramic views from the summit make it worthwhile.
