Katedra Wawelska, Krakow, Poland
About this stone
Wawel Cathedral (the Archcathedral Basilica of Sts. Stanislaus and Wenceslaus) is Poland's national sanctuary and sits on Wawel Hill in Kraków. The current Gothic building was consecrated in 1364 and is the third church on the site. Nearly all Polish monarchs were crowned here until 1734, and many are buried in its crypts.
