About this stone
Between the bush and the beach, this lodge sits at the rare intersection of safari and seaside—a place where elephants wander past in the morning and the Indian Ocean beckons by afternoon. The area carries the weight of history: back in the 19th century, this was a bustling Swahili trading town, a hub of ivory commerce and tragic human trafficking routes, before the land was eventually protected as a national park. Today it's transformed into a wildlife haven where visitors experience that unhurried safari rhythm alongside coastal beauty.
