This striking Gothic structure rises dramatically above the Dyje River valley, its impressive ribbed vaults and soaring nave embodying the grandeur of medieval ecclesiastical architecture. Built in the 14th century to replace an earlier Romanesque church, it has evolved into one of the town's most iconic landmarks. A particularly notable feature is its rare Gothic pulpit shaped like a wine chalice—a symbol of the region's deep-rooted winemaking heritage. Outside, a tranquil bench offers a peaceful spot to take in the serene cityscape, and behind it lies a hidden penguin stone nestled against the stone wall, waiting to be discovered by those who know where to look.
