#652 Ram Statue

Ram Statue, Tórshavn, Faroe Islands

About this stone

In the heart of the city stands a proud bronze ram, a tribute to the deep connection between the Faroese people and their sheep, which have shaped the islands' culture and livelihood for centuries. The statue symbolizes strength, resilience, and tradition, reminding visitors of the bond between land, animals, and community. A penguin stone was left nearby as a quiet companion to this strong guardian of the Faroes.
