About this stone
In the middle of the desert, silence feels different. The golden dunes stretch endlessly, shaped by the wind into soft waves that glow at sunset and cool quickly once the stars appear. The area offers a glimpse into traditional Bedouin-style desert life, where evenings are filled with lantern light, Arabic coffee, and stories shared around the fire. Parts of the UAE desert were once covered by ancient shallow seas millions of years ago, so if you look closely, you can sometimes find fossilized marine life hidden beneath the sand. The desert keeps its mysteries well, but perhaps the wind will guide the right explorer to discover what rests here among the dunes.
