#965 Giardini Comunali 'Enzo Tortora'

Giardini Comunali 'Enzo Tortora', Bergamo, Italy

About this stone

These small green gardens occupy a central location in the city, and they carry profound historical significance. Dedicated on 17 June 2023—exactly 40 years after a pivotal moment in Italian civil rights history—the gardens serve as a public memorial to journalist Enzo Tortora and stand as a reminder of justice and civic responsibility. The location is particularly poignant because it sits directly in front of the courthouse, making it a place where law, memory, and everyday life intersect. It's a peaceful spot where locals and visitors alike can reflect, surrounded by greenery in the heart of the city.
