This spot is one of Patagonia's most iconic viewpoints, famous for its turquoise glacial waters and the towering peaks of Mount Fitz Roy rising sharply behind it. Reaching the lagoon takes a long, rewarding trek, but the final climb is worth every step. An interesting fact: the name "Fitz Roy" comes from the British captain Robert FitzRoy, who also commanded the HMS Beagle during Charles Darwin's legendary voyage. The stone was hidden here by someone on their adventure, adding a playful secret to one of Argentina's most breathtaking landscapes.
