About this Stone

The ANZAC Memorial is Sydney's principal war memorial, located in the southern end of Hyde Park. Opened in 1934, it commemorates the servicemen and women of New South Wales, with a special focus on the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC). Today it also honours Australians who have served in later conflicts and peacekeeping missions.
