#2346 Jessie Stuart Broomfield Monument

Jessie Stuart Broomfield Monument, Sydney, 🇦🇺 Australia

About this Stone

The Jessie Stuart Broomfield Monument is a small but unusual heritage memorial in Bradfield Park, Milsons Point (Sydney), beside the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is a granite drinking fountain built from money left by Jessie Stuart Broomfield, a Sydney woman who died in 1935. In her will, she requested that her estate fund drinking fountains and water troughs for dogs around Sydney, with her name inscribed on them.
